About SSBC & Position
SSBC is seeking a full time worship leader to lead and coordinate the worship/music ministry of our church. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a definite call to ministry and be a strong worship leader who is able to lead and work alongside others (including existing musicians) to build both a strong and dynamic worship team that will lead the congregation in heaven-like worship.
SSBC is a growing, multigenerational, theologically-conservative, outreach-focused church located in South Bend, Indiana with an average weekend attendance of approximately 250, including adults and children. We are a part of the Southern Baptist Convention. It is our desire to develop passionate followers of Jesus Christ who seek to impact his or her community for Christ–one life at a time!

Tasks
- Plan weekend and special worship services alongside other pastors and ministry leaders
- Manage scheduling of people for all areas of worship (i.e., vocalist, band, a/v)
- Manage Planning Center database
- Manage the Worship Ministry’s financial budget and purchases
- Train and develop worship team members
- Prepare with Worship Team both midweek and before services
- Lead another ministry in the church based on gifting (Connect Group/Small Group Ministry, Outreach, etc.)

- Godly, Humble Character
- Demonstrates Spiritual Maturity
- Relational and Evangelistic
- Affirm The Baptist Faith & Message 2000 of the Southern Baptist Convention
- Be able to integrate sound doctrine with the worship set
- Able to integrate all music styles into worship (our church is more on the modern side of church music but we don't want to neglect the timeless songs of the church)
- Strong Love for Congregation
- Strong Organizational and Administrative Skills
- Strong Musical Ability with both vocal and instruments
- Strong ability to build a team
- Strong plus
- Ability to play multiple instruments
- Audio/Visual experience
- Ability to play multiple instruments
