You and your family are invited to take part in the excitement that is Easter!
Shape Divider - Style waves
Easter will look different for everyone in Michiana this year because of the effects of COVID-19. We understand this, but we are bringing what many call "Holy Week" to your living room with four services for your family.
All of our Holy Week services will be featured live on both our Facebook Page and YouTube Channel. Each service will have its own format and flavor, designed to help you focus your heart, soul, and mind towards what Jesus accomplished many, many years ago.
Sunday, April 14 at 10:30am
What is Palm Sunday? Palm Sunday is the beginning of what is commonly known as "Passion Week"—the week leading up to Jesus's death and resurrection. Palm Sunday is when Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey, was expected to over throw the Roman government, and establish the new world order which would be ruled by God, himself. However, Jesus did not come to over throw the government; He came so that he may die. Come and see what this means for you.
Bible study & age-appropriate activities will be available for babies through kindergarten aged children. Babies through 3 years will be checked in at the Kids Welcome Desk and taken immediately to their classrooms, while 4 year olds through kindergarten will check in at the Kids Welcome Desk, but they sit with their parents during the singing portion of the service and then are dismissed to the back of the sanctuary before the message.
Friday, April 19 at 7:00pm
We celebrate Good Friday for two reasons: to remember Jesus' act on the cross and to celebrate what Jesus accomplished on the cross. During this service, we will be taking communion, in remembrance of the Last Supper—the last time Jesus would be with His disciples before His death—and ultimately, His death on the cross. Come be part of this relaxed, yet emotionally powerful service.
Sunday, April 21 at 10:30am
Easter is the reason why we gather week-in and week-out at South Side. It is on Easter that Jesus defeats death and provides life for all who believe in Him. Come and see that Jesus is good, and see a family's story of how Jesus transformed their lives.
Bible study & age-appropriate activities for all children, 6th grade and under, will be available, but children ages 4 years old through 6th grade will be in the service during the "Worship in Song" portion of the service. After that portion, a pastor will dismiss them to their classroom.
Sunday, April 21 at after the Easter Worship Experience (approximately 12:15pm)
Our 15th Annual Easter Egg Hunt will begin immediately following the 10:30 AM Easter worship experience, and it's for all children up through sixth grade. There will be thousands of eggs so that all children enjoy the event. Inside of these eggs are not only candy but a few surprises as well. This is a FREE community event that is open to everyone, no registration, sign-ups, or entrance fees.
*There are no nuts or peanut butter in any of the candy.
