AWANA Kids Clubs

AWANA 2022-23 begins September 11. You can always register the first night you attend.

AWANA is a children’s discipleship program that teaches children in a fun, interactive way.
Kids earn a handbook and a uniform by learning Bible verses that will help them in life. Children ages 3 1/2 years (and potty trained) through 6th grade are encouraged to join us on Sunday evenings.

Beginning September 11, check-in begins at 5:45 pm and AWANA ends at 7:30 pm. Each AWANA age group has a small group time where children work with the teacher one on one, a large group time where they hear God’s Word, and a game time where they can yell, run, and have fun!

FEE: For routine participants, we have a $15 fee. That fee covers all books, awards, and and apparel that your child will need throughout the AWANA year. You can pay your first night or pay online here!

REGISTER: We highly encourage you to register online this year to save yourself time
For NEW Clubbers - click on REGISTER FOR AWANA 22- 23.
**If you would rather register in person, we will have computers set up to register online (no paper registrations will be available this year)

COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS/QUESTIONS:

*Are masks required?
No, however if you want to wear a mask you are more than welcome to do so.

*Can I drop my child off early?
Yes and no. Yes, you can drop your child(ren) off starting at 5:45pm, but no earlier. There will be no workers available before 5:45. You must come up with your child(ren) to check them in.

*Will my child need to wear a mask the entire time?
No, not unless you want them to. If you do not want them to wear a mask outside, they do need to have one with them if they go inside for any reason (i.e. bathroom). We do ask you wear a mask when checking the first day around our workers and once your child is at their club area, they can remove it if a parent ok's it.

*Will Awana be inside or outside?
We will utilize both indoor and outdoor spaces so a sweatshirt or long sleeve shirt for evenings outdoors may be needed.

*Where do we go after we check in?
Cubbies (3 1/2 yrs old to Pre-school age) go directly to their room off the gym (C102) and children Kindergarten to 6th grade go to our Sanctuary.

*What should my child(ren) bring?
Their backpack, handbook (if they have one from last year), Bible, mask, small water bottle (Please label your child's items in case they get left behind). They can also bring a sweatshirt for those cool nights and a small blanket/towel to sit on the grass. You can also spray on bug spray before they come.

Online registration for Awana is closed, but you can register in person all year round.

Cubbies

Ages: 3 1/2 years (and potty trained) – Pre-Kindergarten

Cubbies is fun with a purpose – to reach and train kids for Jesus Christ.
Cubbies is designed for pre-schooled aged children, and is built on two premises:
  1. Young children can and should receive spiritual training.
  2. Home is the primary place for spiritual training, but the church assists in that training.
Cubbies meets these needs through fun – and lots of it! Games, puppets, crafts, awards and other activities transform our preschool program into a lively weekly experience where fun and learning go hand in hand.

Sparks

Ages: Kindergarten – 2nd Grade

Sparks starts the process of building a solid, Biblical foundation in each child's life. Sparks is designed for kindergarten through second grade and builds on the material taught in our preschool clubs.

The curriculum takes kids a step deeper into God’s Word while giving unsaved boys and girls regular opportunities to hear the Gospel and come to faith in Jesus Christ. After being immersed in solid foundational teaching at the preschool level, boys and girls frequently come to an understanding of their need to trust Christ as their personal Savior while in Sparks.

The Sparks program is firmly grounded in Scripture. The three primary handbooks feature:
  • Basic truths about God, Jesus Christ, salvation, and the Bible.
  • A clear and consistent presentation of the Gospel message.
  • An increased emphasis on Scripture memory over our preschool materials.
In three years, your child will learn and review over 65 verses, many of which cover salvation and key Christian doctrines.

T&T

Ages: 3rd – 6th Grades

Truth & Training's (T&T) goal is to shape today’s young people into tomorrow’s church leaders.

T&T is equipped with a variety of dynamic tools to accomplish this mission:
  • Four handbooks of increasing difficulty which teach children that life’s ultimate adventure is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • A cast of fun characters that boys and girls learn from and follow on interesting journeys in the handbooks.
  • A Bible-centered curriculum that helps kids build a firm foundation for their faith, hide God’s Word in their heart, and apply the truths of Scripture to their daily lives.

By the time a child has completed T&T, they will have:
  • Learned and reviewed approximately 310 verses.
  • Studied dozens of passages from both the Old and New Testament.
  • Regularly heard and read the Gospel message.
  • Discovered the Bible’s response to questions like “How does God want me to live my life?” and memorized verses to back up these answers.
  • Had regular exposure to missionary stories and learn how to pray for these missionaries.
